In order to assist institutions of higher education in complying with the new Title IX regulations that went into effect on August 14, 2020, the Department’s Office of Civil Rights developed a nine-page “Summary of Major Provisions of the Department of Education’s Title IX Final Rule.” While this summary must not take the place of institution’s comprehensive review and implementation of the compliance requirements contained within the regulation, it does serve as a helpful resource to ensure that your institution’s policies, procedures, and consumer disclosures are in order.
