1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Fame (“Fame,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about visitors to fameinc.com (the “Site”).
This policy covers the Fame marketing website only. It does not cover data Fame processes on behalf of school clients through its software platforms and financial aid services, which is governed by our agreements with those institutions; student education records, which are handled under separate contractual and regulatory terms; or third-party sites we link to, including our client login portal, support center, and payment center, each of which maintains its own privacy practices.
2. Notice at Collection
At or before the point of collection, we collect the following categories of personal information from Site visitors:

We do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give rise to a right to limit. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
3. Information You Provide Directly
When you complete a form on the Site, such as requesting a consultation, registering for a webinar, downloading an eBook, or subscribing to our newsletter, we collect the information you enter. This typically includes your name, work email address, school or organization name, phone number, and any message content you choose to provide.
Form submissions are processed by Gravity Forms and transmitted to our marketing automation platform. Field-level data you enter into Site forms is mapped to and stored in ClickDimensions, a marketing automation service built on Microsoft Dynamics. Submissions are also screened by automated spam-detection services, which receive submission content, your IP address, and browser information for that purpose.
4. Information Collected Automatically Through Tracking Technologies
When you visit the Site, we and third parties acting on our behalf may automatically collect information about your device and your interactions with the Site through cookies, pixels, software development kits, scripts, and similar technologies.

4.2 Third-Party Access to Your Interactions
Please read this section carefully.
Some of the technologies listed above operate by transmitting information about your visit to the technology provider servers in real time, as you interact with the Site. Depending on the tool, this may include the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, how you move through a page, your IP address, and information you enter into forms.
This means that certain third-party service providers receive, process, and may record your interactions with the Site. These providers act on our behalf and under contract.
By accepting non-essential cookies and technologies through our consent banner, you expressly consent to this collection and to the participation of these third-party providers in your communications with the Site. If you do not consent, these technologies are blocked and will not load.
5. Your Choices and How to Control Tracking
5.1 Consent Banner
We use a consent management platform that blocks non-essential cookies and tracking technologies until you affirmatively accept them. You may accept all, deny all, or select individual categories: Functional, Preferences, Statistics, and Marketing.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by selecting Manage Consent in the Site footer. Withdrawing consent stops future collection. It does not reverse collection that already occurred while consent was active.
5.2 Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for that browser. More information is available at globalprivacycontrol.org.
5.3 Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Because we use advertising and visitor-identification technologies that transmit identifiers to third parties, our disclosures may constitute a sale or sharing of personal information under California law, even where no money changes hands.
To opt out, select Manage Consent in the Site footer and deny the Marketing category, or contact us using the details in Section 10. Denying Marketing prevents these technologies from loading.
5.4 Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect Site functionality. Browser controls are specific to each device and browser, so you will need to apply them separately on each one you use.
6. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to respond to inquiries and provide requested information about our products and services; send marketing communications where permitted and measure their effectiveness; understand which content, industries, and pages interest visitors; qualify and prioritize business leads, including by identifying the organization a visitor is browsing from; operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site; detect and prevent spam, fraud, and automated abuse; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
7. How We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information to service providers and contractors who perform functions on our behalf, including the technology providers listed in Section 4.1, our customer relationship and marketing platforms, and our hosting provider; advertising and analytics partners in connection with cross-context behavioral advertising, unless you have opted out; professional advisors such as auditors and legal counsel; legal and safety recipients where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property; and acquirers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
8. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it; access a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you; delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, noting that we do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site; and receive non-discriminatory treatment, meaning we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Submit a request by email to info@fameinc.com or by phone at 1-800-327-5772. Please include enough detail for us to locate your information and describe the right you wish to exercise.
We verify requests by matching the information you provide against the records we hold, and may request additional information where necessary to confirm your identity. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by an additional 45 days with notice to you. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written permission and proof of authority.
9. Rights Under Other State Privacy Laws
Residents of other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, and Maryland, may have comparable rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. 11. Data Retention
We retain personal information collected through the Site for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. In determining the appropriate period we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure; whether an ongoing business relationship exists or is reasonably anticipated; the purposes for which we process the information and whether those purposes can be achieved by other means; and applicable legal, accounting, audit, and reporting requirements. Analytics and advertising identifiers are retained in accordance with each provider configured retention settings.
12. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information collected through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children Privacy
The Site is directed to education professionals and administrators, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by incrementing the version number and updating the Last Updated date, and where required by providing additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
