Constellation Software, Inc. Acquires Higher Education Software Provider FAME

We are excited to announce a change in the ownership of FAME.  As of November 28, 2017 Constellation Software Inc. (“Constellation”) (TSX:CSU), its wholly-owned division Vela Operating Group (“Vela”) and its subsidiary Aquila Software (“Aquila”) have acquired Financial Aid Management for Education, Inc. (“FAME”).  Constellation, a $2.1 billion company with over 12,000 employees, operates in 80 vertical markets internationally. They currently own software companies that provide K-12 SIS in Australia and England, and have acquired FAME as their entry into the North America educational market.

Constellation Software is an international provider of market-leading software and services to a number of industries, both in the public and private sectors. Their mission is to acquire, manage and build market-leading software businesses that develop specialized, mission-critical software solutions to address the specific needs of their particular industries.

FAME’s CEO, Bill Little, the entire Executive Team, managers, supervisors and employees will all remain to ensure that we continue our “Client’s First” approach to business and service. The expertise and knowledge of our seasoned employees, which have been the core of our sustainability and growth for the past 4 decades, will enable us to continue providing our SIS products and financial aid services to you. Our employees support this change and we are very positive about the future under the new structure.

This change ensures that FAME has the assets required to meet the ongoing needs of our clients and those of the Higher Education industry, as well as keeping up with technological changes. Constellation, through its subsidiaries, will continue our focus on the enhancements to our software products and services to ensure we provide our clients with new and innovative applications.
